After a climb of more than 10 kilometers, Roglic was the best in the final sprint of a large leading group, in which the most important riders in the classification were still seated. Thanks to bonus seconds, he took over the leader’s jersey from the German Lennard Kämna.
Italian Giulio Ciccone finished second in the stage, Briton Tao Geoghegan Hart finished third. Kämna crossed the finish line in fifth place. Roglic is 4 seconds ahead of the German from the Bora-hansgrohe team in the general classification.
Wilco Kelderman of Jumbo-Visma, who was also in the leading group, is the best Dutchman in fifth place.
