Buses, flowers, oil: Dutch trade with Russia plummets

More than half of the products exported are made in the Netherlands. In particular, fewer trucks, buses, flowers and chemicals were shipped from Dutch soil to Russia.

Expensive fuels

Last year, goods worth almost 21 billion euros were imported from Russia to the Netherlands, about 13% more than a year earlier. This increase is mainly due to the sharp increase in the price of fuels, such as gas and oil.

These fuels normally make up the lion’s share of Dutch imports of goods from Russia.
