Daley Blind can hope for another Ajax club. Before the World Cup, the defender lost his starting spot with the Amsterdam team. Coach Alfred Schreuder preferred Owen Wijndal, Calvin Bassey and Devyne Rensch as left-backs.

Ajax don’t want to confirm that Blind could leave this winter on a free transfer. It is in the interest of Royal Antwerp FC, where Mark van Bommel is a coach and Marc Overmars works as technical director. The 99-time international wants to use the coming weeks to list all the options.

Blind enjoyed his studies at Ajax and returned to the capital club in 2018 after a spell at Manchester United. Blind became seven times champion with Ajax and was a starting player for the Orange team during the World Cup in Qatar.
